The clinical internship program year two continues the components of year one. It includes theory/dialogue, group and individual supervision, and monthly clinical meetings. Trainees will select an area of study to focus on for the year, along with the general structure of the second year. Each student’s interests and research supplement a core curriculum of reading and supervision.
“The theory postulates that far more human activity is governed by man’s (sic) emotional system than he has been willing to admit, and there is far more similarity than dissimilarity between the “dance of life” in lower forms and the “dance of life” in human forms.”
Trainees must satisfactorily complete the first year of the training program and receive approval from the trainee’s individual supervisor and Executive Director to continue into year two of the program. We give priority to students who have completed the first-year internship the year previous with Living Systems. Other spaces may open and be filled by those who have completed an introduction to Bowen Theory training program at Living Systems or another network program.
