Living Systems is not a Crisis Center

Living Systems Counselling is not a crisis centre. If you are in a crisis, experiencing feelings of despair or having suicidal thoughts, please reach out to the following resources for immediate support:

  • Call 9-1-1 for help right away or go to your local emergency medical centre
  • BC Suicide Prevention and Intervention Line: Free and confidential phoneline at 1-800-784-2433 for people who are feeling suicidal, are concerned for someone who might be suicidal, or for emotional support. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • 9-8-8 National Suicide Crisis Helpline: Call or text 9-8-8 anytime for anyone across Canada who is thinking about suicide, or who is worried about someone they know. Provide support in English and French, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Mental Health Support Line: For immediate mental health support or referral, call 310-6789 (no area code) 24 hours a day. Offers emotional support, information on appropriate referral options, and a wide range of support relating to mental health concerns.
  • Online Crisis Centre Chat in BC: Visit crisiscentrechat.ca to chat online with a crisis responder. It’s available from noon to midnight every day.
  • Mobile Crisis Response Teams in BC (PACT):
    PACT is a mobile, community-led team that offers support to individuals experiencing a crisis. It is an alternative to police intervention, providing crisis support that focuses on prevention, health and well-being

    • North and West Vancouver: Call 1-888-261-7228 or text 778-839-1831: 7 Days a Week, 8:00 am to 12:30 am
    • New Westminster: Call 778-727-3909: 7 Days a Week, 7:00 am – 11:30 pm
    • Victoria: Call or text 250-818-2454, Monday to Sunday 7:30am – 12:30am
