Group Overview
This family of origin group will apply Bowen family systems theory while exploring the patterns and themes in one’s family. Each participant will be working toward greater insight and flexibility in their relationships. Limited to six participants.

Who is this group for
This group welcomes anyone interested in how their family story has shaped them. This is an educational experience, not group therapy. It offers a thoughtful, structured space for self-exploration.
Individuals wanting CCR credits – your attendance will contribute to BCACC’s Continuing Competency Requirements

Fee
The course fee is $339 (CDN). This is a small group format, and space is limited.

Group Structure
Monthly Format (5 sessions, 2 hours each)
Session 1 — Introduction to Family of Origin Work
Session 2 and 3 — Three-generational family diagram + family history
Session 4 and 5 — Deeper exploration of emotional patterns + identifying next steps
Group Requirements
Each participant will be asked to sign a participant agreement outlining protocols for working together, including confidentiality.
Recommended Resources
The book “Family Diagram and Family Research: An Illustrated Guide to Tools for Working on Differentiation of Self in One’s Family” by Victoria Harrison is recommended. Find it here.
