Dave Galloway serves on the Board of the Bowen Theory Academy and is a faculty member at Living Systems Counselling in Vancouver, BC, where he has instructed in the Advanced Training Program and Continuing Studies Program for the past two years.
He has been a student of Bowen Family Systems Theory for over twenty years. His formal training includes fifteen years of the Clinical Training Program in Family Systems Theory and Therapy at Living Systems Counselling, attendance at the Post-Graduate Training Program at the Georgetown Family Center in Washington, DC — the institution founded by Murray Bowen — and two years of the Advanced Seminar in Bowen Family Systems Theory at Rutgers University (2022–2023, 2023–2024).
His peer-reviewed article, How Emotions are Made: Implications for Bowen Theory, was published in Family Systems: The Journal of Natural Systems Thinking in Psychiatry and the Sciences, Volume 14, No. 2, p. 129 (2020). He has presented at the Western Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute and the International Bowen Theory Conference in Sydney, Australia, and regularly attends and presents at Papero Theory meetings.
Dave has accumulated over 2,000 hours of direct client experience working with individuals and families over fourteen years of part-time practice. He completed the University of British Columbia’s Family Enterprise Advisor Program and holds Clear Leadership Certification.
