For Clinicians
Dates: Sept 2026-June 2027
Times: Once a month for 2 hours. We invite participants to attend the monthly 2.5-hour clinical meetings the Living Systems hosts.
Location: Online using Zoom
Participants will discuss the readings and make presentations.
The program begins in September 2026.
The deadline for applications is August 1, 2026. We will accept applications from June 1st to August 1st. We will complete interviews in early September.
The program starts in the third week in September 2026.
Continuing Studies Program Admissions Requirements
Trainees must satisfactorily complete two years of the clinical internship training program or the equivalent at another network program and receive approval from the trainee’s supervisor and Executive Director to enroll in the continuing studies program. See the Program Outline for other admission requirements.
Tuition is $850 CDN and due prior to the first session. Livingsystems accepts Visa and email transfers (Interac).
The Continuing Studies program year will follow a theme that relates to the application of one or more aspects of Bowen Family Systems Theory. Each year offers a new theme, e.g., The Family as a Unit. The two-hour session will allow participants to discuss the assigned readings. Participants gain an even deeper understanding of Bowen Theory and its application in different areas.
Participants will investigate and present on an aspect of the theory of their choosing in order to understand this particular area in greater detail. See the program outline above for more details.
